What We Are Investigating?

Our firm is launching a comprehensive investigation into Ayton Family Office over allegations that it has been suppressing critical reviews and unfavorable Google search results by fraudulently misusing DMCA takedown notices. These actions, if proven, could constitute serious legal violations—including impersonation, fraud, and perjury.

We conducted comprehensive analyses of fraudulent copyright takedown requests, meritless legal complaints, and other unlawful efforts to suppress public access to critical information. Our reporting sheds light on the prevalence and modus operandi of a structured censorship network, often funded and used by criminal enterprises, oligarchs and criminal entities seeking to manipulate public perception and bypass AML checks conducted by financial organisations.

The fake DMCA notices in this investigation appears to have been strategically deployed to remove negative content from Google search results illegally. Based on this pattern, we have reasonable grounds to infer that Ayton Family Office - or an entity acting at its behest - is directly or indirectly complicit in this cyber crime.

In most such cases, such ops are executed by rogue, fly-by-night 'Online Reputation Management' agencies acting on behalf of their clients. If evidence establishes that the subject knowingly benefited from or facilitated this scam, it may be deemed an 'accomplice' or an 'accessory' to the crime.

What are they trying to censor

Ayton Family Office claims to be an “Ultra Discrete Private Wealth Trust” of one of Europe’s oldest noble families, boasting a history spanning over nine centuries. Their website prominently features Ayton Castle, suggesting it as the family’s ancestral home. However, historical records indicate that Ayton Castle, located in Berwickshire, Scotland, has never been associated with the Ayton family. The title of ‘Baron of Ayton’ is held by Ian Liddell-Grainger MP, whose family has owned the castle for over a century. The Aytons have no documented ties to the castle or its lineage, making their claims of noble heritage unfounded.

Questionable Credentials and Financial Misconduct

Nick Ayton’s professional background is marred by inconsistencies and allegations of fraud. He claims to hold an MBA from the “University de la Romande,” an institution that appears to be non-existent. Furthermore, Ayton was involved in a company that defrauded pension savers out of millions of pounds, leading to significant financial losses for investors. Despite these issues, he continues to operate in the crypto-asset space, raising concerns about his credibility and the legitimacy of his ventures.

Obediah Ayton, Nick’s son, is also implicated in dubious activities. As a director of Hold Co, he has been accused of orchestrating a $20 million theft from investors, leaving many in financial distress. These allegations further tarnish the family’s reputation and raise serious questions about the integrity of their business operations.

Censorship and Information Suppression

In an attempt to control the narrative and suppress negative publicity, the Ayton Family has engaged in aggressive censorship tactics. They have reportedly filed fraudulent DMCA takedown notices to remove critical content from the internet, targeting articles and forums that expose their questionable practices. Such actions not only undermine the principles of free speech but also hinder potential investors from accessing vital information necessary for informed decision-making.

Implications for Investors and Regulatory Bodies

The pattern of deception, financial misconduct, and censorship exhibited by the Ayton Family Office poses significant risks to investors. The lack of transparency and accountability within their operations makes it imperative for potential investors to exercise extreme caution. Regulatory bodies must also take note of these red flags and conduct thorough investigations to protect the public from potential financial harm.

Conclusion

The Ayton Family Office’s portrayal as a noble and reputable institution is contradicted by a trail of deceit, financial impropriety, and efforts to silence critics. Their actions serve as a stark reminder of the importance of due diligence and the need for vigilance against entities that prioritize image over integrity. Investors and authorities alike must remain alert to such schemes to safeguard financial interests and uphold the principles of transparency and accountability.

How This Was Done

The fake DMCA notices we found always use the 'back-dated article' technique. With this technique, the wrongful notice sender (or copier) creates a copy of a 'true original' article and back-dates it, creating a 'fake original' article (a copy of the true original) that, at first glance, appears to have been published before the true original

What Happens Next?

Based on the feedback, information, and requests received from all relevant parties, our team will formally notify the affected party of the alleged infringement. Following a thorough review, we will submit a counter-notice to reinstate any link that has been removed by Google, in accordance with applicable legal provisions. Additionally, we will communicate with Google’s Legal Team to ensure appropriate measures are taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
