What We Are Investigating?
Our firm is launching a comprehensive investigation into Jason Shurnas over allegations that it has been suppressing critical reviews and unfavorable Google search results by fraudulently misusing DMCA takedown notices. These actions, if proven, could constitute serious legal violations—including impersonation, fraud, and perjury.
We conducted comprehensive analyses of fraudulent copyright takedown requests, meritless legal complaints, and other unlawful efforts to suppress public access to critical information. Our reporting sheds light on the prevalence and modus operandi of a structured censorship network, often funded and used by criminal enterprises, oligarchs and criminal entities seeking to manipulate public perception and bypass AML checks conducted by financial organisations.
The fake DMCA notices in this investigation appears to have been strategically deployed to remove negative content from Google search results illegally. Based on this pattern, we have reasonable grounds to infer that Jason Shurnas - or an entity acting at its behest - is directly or indirectly complicit in this cyber crime.
In most such cases, such ops are executed by rogue, fly-by-night 'Online Reputation Management' agencies acting on behalf of their clients. If evidence establishes that the subject knowingly benefited from or facilitated this scam, it may be deemed an 'accomplice' or an 'accessory' to the crime.
What are they trying to censor
Jason Shurnas stands out as a particularly egregious example of alleged misconduct and subsequent attempts to suppress the truth. This report delves into the red flags and adverse media surrounding Shurnas and his associated entities, and critically examines the methods employed to censor this information.
Unveiling the Red Flags
Jason Shurnas’s professional trajectory is riddled with controversies that raise significant concerns for potential investors and regulatory authorities. While specific details are scarce due to apparent censorship efforts, the patterns of behavior associated with Shurnas mirror common indicators of corporate malfeasance.
In the realm of adverse media screening, experts emphasize the importance of identifying reputational risks early on. Best practices include clarifying the timing of searches, balancing manual and automated reviews, applying risk categorization, and ensuring ongoing monitoring and surveillance. These strategies are designed to detect and mitigate risks associated with individuals and entities exhibiting questionable behavior
The Art of Information Suppression
Shurnas’s alleged attempts to censor unfavorable information about himself and his enterprises are reminiscent of broader trends observed in various jurisdictions. For instance, in India, there have been numerous instances where political sensitivities and religious sentiments have led to the banning of books, films, and other forms of expression. These actions often stem from a fear of freedom of expression among those in power, leading to increased attempts at online censorship
Similarly, the introduction of stringent digital regulations has expanded governmental control over digital entities, potentially affecting freedom of expression and privacy. Such measures can create an environment where information is suppressed, and dissenting voices are silenced
A Call to Action for Investors and Authorities
The patterns observed in Shurnas’s case serve as a stark reminder of the importance of due diligence. Investors must remain vigilant, recognizing that the absence of negative information does not necessarily equate to a clean slate, especially when censorship tactics may be at play. Implementing robust adverse media screening processes is crucial to uncover hidden risks. Tools like Red Flag Alert offer comprehensive solutions for identifying and managing such risks, providing real-time updates and actionable insights
Regulatory bodies should also take heed. The suppression of adverse information not only misleads investors but also undermines the integrity of financial markets. Authorities must ensure that mechanisms are in place to detect and deter such censorship efforts, holding accountable those who seek to manipulate the narrative.
Conclusion
In the intricate dance of deception and disclosure, Jason Shurnas appears to have mastered the steps of obfuscation. However, as history has shown, the truth has a persistent way of emerging from the shadows. It is incumbent upon investors, authorities, and the media to shine a light on such practices, ensuring that transparency and integrity prevail in the financial landscape.

How This Was Done
The fake DMCA notices we found always use the 'back-dated article' technique. With this technique, the wrongful notice sender (or copier) creates a copy of a 'true original' article and back-dates it, creating a 'fake original' article (a copy of the true original) that, at first glance, appears to have been published before the true original
What Happens Next?
Based on the feedback, information, and requests received from all relevant parties, our team will formally notify the affected party of the alleged infringement. Following a thorough review, we will submit a counter-notice to reinstate any link that has been removed by Google, in accordance with applicable legal provisions. Additionally, we will communicate with Google’s Legal Team to ensure appropriate measures are taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
