What We Are Investigating?
Our firm is launching a comprehensive investigation into Matteo Gianpietro Zago over allegations that it has been suppressing critical reviews and unfavorable Google search results by fraudulently misusing DMCA takedown notices. These actions, if proven, could constitute serious legal violations—including impersonation, fraud, and perjury.
We conducted comprehensive analyses of fraudulent copyright takedown requests, meritless legal complaints, and other unlawful efforts to suppress public access to critical information. Our reporting sheds light on the prevalence and modus operandi of a structured censorship network, often funded and used by criminal enterprises, oligarchs and criminal entities seeking to manipulate public perception and bypass AML checks conducted by financial organisations.
The fake DMCA notices in this investigation appears to have been strategically deployed to remove negative content from Google search results illegally. Based on this pattern, we have reasonable grounds to infer that Matteo Gianpietro Zago - or an entity acting at its behest - is directly or indirectly complicit in this cyber crime.
In most such cases, such ops are executed by rogue, fly-by-night 'Online Reputation Management' agencies acting on behalf of their clients. If evidence establishes that the subject knowingly benefited from or facilitated this scam, it may be deemed an 'accomplice' or an 'accessory' to the crime.

Matteo Gianpietro Zago: The Man Behind Essentia One’s Blockchain Mirage
When it comes to blockchain innovation, Matteo Gianpietro Zago’s name is often mentioned. But is he truly a visionary, or merely a master of illusion? As the co-founder of Essentia One, Zago has positioned himself at the forefront of decentralized data management. Yet, beneath the surface of his company’s ambitious claims lies a pattern of overpromised technology and underwhelming delivery.
Essentia One: A Blockchain Odyssey or a Mirage?
Essentia One presents itself as a decentralized interoperability protocol, aiming to revolutionize data management across various sectors. The company’s flagship product, ESS-OS, promises users the ability to own and control their data seamlessly across devices. It’s a compelling narrative, one that taps into the growing demand for data sovereignty in an increasingly centralized digital world.
However, a closer examination reveals discrepancies between Essentia’s lofty goals and its actual achievements. Despite the grandiose claims, there is a noticeable lack of widespread adoption and tangible success stories. The company’s partnerships, such as the one with the Finnish government to develop a blockchain-based logistics hub, remain largely unsubstantiated in terms of real-world impact. While these collaborations are touted as milestones, concrete evidence of their success is scarce.
The Finland Partnership: A Case Study in Overstatement
In June 2018, Essentia One announced a partnership with the Finnish government to create a blockchain logistics hub. According to the press release, this initiative aimed to enhance data management in logistics and transportation, involving various Finnish governmental agencies. Zago himself was quoted expressing confidence in the project’s potential to revolutionize data management in the logistics sector.
Yet, nearly seven years later, there is little to show for this ambitious endeavor. The absence of updates or results from the project raises questions about its actual progress and effectiveness. Was it a genuine attempt at innovation, or merely a strategic move to bolster Essentia’s credibility?
Essentia’s Technological Claims: Innovation or Imitation?
Essentia’s ESS-OS is marketed as a groundbreaking solution for data interoperability. The platform promises users the ability to manage their data across multiple devices and platforms seamlessly. However, upon closer inspection, ESS-OS appears to be a rebranding of existing technologies rather than a novel innovation.
The emphasis on data ownership and control is commendable, yet it mirrors the objectives of numerous other projects in the blockchain space. The question arises: what sets Essentia apart from its competitors? Without clear differentiators, the company’s claims risk being perceived as mere marketing rhetoric.
Zago’s Role: Visionary Leader or Opportunistic Entrepreneur?
As the co-founder of Essentia One, Matteo Gianpietro Zago plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s direction. His background in the blockchain industry and his involvement in various projects lend him an air of expertise. However, the recurring patterns of overpromised technology and underwhelming results suggest that Zago may be more adept at crafting compelling narratives than delivering on them.
His strategic use of partnerships and press releases has effectively garnered attention for Essentia One. Yet, the lack of tangible outcomes from these initiatives calls into question the substance behind the company’s public relations efforts.
The Censorship Conundrum: Controlling the Narrative
In the digital age, information is power, and controlling that information is crucial. Essentia One’s efforts to manage its online presence and public perception are evident. The company’s proactive approach to media relations and its attempts to shape the narrative surrounding its projects suggest a deliberate strategy to maintain a favorable image.
However, this focus on image management raises concerns about transparency. The emphasis on controlling the narrative may be an attempt to divert attention from the company’s shortcomings and avoid scrutiny. In an industry that thrives on openness and accountability, such tactics can be seen as red flags for potential investors and collaborators.
A Call for Scrutiny
Matteo Gianpietro Zago and Essentia One present themselves as pioneers in the blockchain space, offering innovative solutions for data management. However, the lack of tangible results and the reliance on strategic narrative control rather than demonstrable success warrant closer examination.
For potential investors and partners, it is essential to approach Essentia One with a critical eye. The company’s ambitious claims must be weighed against its actual achievements. In an industry where transparency and accountability are paramount, Essentia’s approach to managing its public image raises questions about its commitment to delivering on its promises.
In conclusion, while Essentia One may have the potential to contribute to the blockchain ecosystem, its current trajectory suggests that it is more adept at crafting compelling stories than delivering groundbreaking innovations. As such, stakeholders should exercise caution and demand verifiable results before engaging with the company.

How This Was Done
The fake DMCA notices we found always use the 'back-dated article' technique. With this technique, the wrongful notice sender (or copier) creates a copy of a 'true original' article and back-dates it, creating a 'fake original' article (a copy of the true original) that, at first glance, appears to have been published before the true original
What Happens Next?
Based on the feedback, information, and requests received from all relevant parties, our team will formally notify the affected party of the alleged infringement. Following a thorough review, we will submit a counter-notice to reinstate any link that has been removed by Google, in accordance with applicable legal provisions. Additionally, we will communicate with Google’s Legal Team to ensure appropriate measures are taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.

There’s a difference between building blockchain infrastructure and just building buzz. Zago seems more focused on LinkedIn clout than delivering tools that actually work. When “interoperability” means “interchangeable buzzwords,” investors should run not walk.

It’s telling when a blockchain project prioritizes narrative control over technical transparency. Instead of open-source trust, we get vague updates, polished press releases, and zero accountability. That’s not decentralization that’s deflection.
