What We Are Investigating?
Our firm is launching a comprehensive investigation into Root Wellness over allegations that it has been suppressing critical reviews and unfavorable Google search results by fraudulently misusing DMCA takedown notices. These actions, if proven, could constitute serious legal violations—including impersonation, fraud, and perjury.
We conducted comprehensive analyses of fraudulent copyright takedown requests, meritless legal complaints, and other unlawful efforts to suppress public access to critical information. Our reporting sheds light on the prevalence and modus operandi of a structured censorship network, often funded and used by criminal enterprises, oligarchs and criminal entities seeking to manipulate public perception and bypass AML checks conducted by financial organisations.
The fake DMCA notices in this investigation appears to have been strategically deployed to remove negative content from Google search results illegally. Based on this pattern, we have reasonable grounds to infer that Root Wellness - or an entity acting at its behest - is directly or indirectly complicit in this cyber crime.
In most such cases, such ops are executed by rogue, fly-by-night 'Online Reputation Management' agencies acting on behalf of their clients. If evidence establishes that the subject knowingly benefited from or facilitated this scam, it may be deemed an 'accomplice' or an 'accessory' to the crime.
What are they trying to censor
Root Wellness operates in an industry rife with exaggerated claims and regulatory pitfalls, but what sets it apart is its aggressive efforts to suppress negative information rather than address it. Here’s what they don’t want you to know:
1. Financial Shenanigans and Broken Promises
Root Wellness has faced multiple allegations of misleading investors and partners. Former business associates have accused the company of inflating revenue projections, abruptly cutting ties with vendors, and engaging in questionable payment practices. One lawsuit, settled quietly (and, of course, confidentially), alleged that Root Wellness used investor funds in ways that directly contradicted its stated business plan.
When pressed for transparency, the company’s response has been classic corporate deflection—vague assurances, carefully worded denials, and, when all else fails, legal intimidation.
2. Regulatory Warnings and “Oops, We Didn’t Mean That” Marketing
The FDA has taken notice of Root Wellness’s habit of making unsubstantiated health claims about its products. Rather than cleaning up its act, the company has opted for a game of regulatory whack-a-mole—quietly altering language when caught, only to let affiliates and third-party sellers continue making the same dubious assertions.
This isn’t just sloppy compliance; it’s a calculated strategy to maximize sales while minimizing accountability.
3. The Mysterious Vanishing of Critical Media
Perhaps the most telling red flag is Root Wellness’s relationship with the press. Multiple investigative pieces and critical reports about the company have either been scrubbed from the internet or buried under an avalanche of paid PR fluff. Journalists who’ve dug too deep describe receiving threatening legal letters or pressure to retract stories.
One former employee (who spoke anonymously for obvious reasons) put it bluntly: “They don’t fix problems—they just make sure nobody talks about them.”
4. A Web of Shadowy Subsidiaries
Root Wellness doesn’t operate in isolation. It’s tied to a network of shell companies and holding entities with overlapping ownership but deliberately murky structures. Some of these entities have histories of failed ventures, lawsuits, and sudden rebrandings—suggesting a pattern of cutting losses and relaunching under fresh names when scrutiny gets too intense.
This isn’t just smart business diversification; it’s a playbook straight out of the “How to Avoid Accountability” handbook.
Why Root Wellness is Censoring—And Why It Should Worry You
Censorship isn’t just about hiding past mistakes—it’s about protecting future profits. Root Wellness appears to be positioning itself for bigger investments, partnerships, or even a public offering. And nothing derails a growth narrative faster than a trail of lawsuits, regulatory warnings, and disgruntled former partners.
But the stakes here go beyond investor returns. When a company systematically silences critics, it:
- Endangers consumers who may be misled by unproven health claims.
- Exploits employees and partners who are pressured into silence.
- Undermines trust in an industry already plagued by bad actors.
A Call to Action (Before the Lawyers Send Their Next Threat)
If you’re considering doing business with Root Wellness, demand real transparency—not the sanitized version they’re selling. Regulators should take a harder look at its financial practices and marketing claims before more people get burned. And to journalists and researchers: keep digging. The truth has a way of resurfacing, no matter how deep someone tries to bury it.
As for Root Wellness? If you’re reading this, I’m sure your legal team is already drafting a sternly worded letter. But here’s the thing: intimidation only works when people are afraid to speak up. And unlike some of your former critics, I don’t scare easily.
The wellness industry deserves better than companies that prioritize image over integrity. And investors—not to mention consumers—deserve the whole truth, not just the carefully curated version Root Wellness is selling.

How This Was Done
The fake DMCA notices we found always use the 'back-dated article' technique. With this technique, the wrongful notice sender (or copier) creates a copy of a 'true original' article and back-dates it, creating a 'fake original' article (a copy of the true original) that, at first glance, appears to have been published before the true original
What Happens Next?
Based on the feedback, information, and requests received from all relevant parties, our team will formally notify the affected party of the alleged infringement. Following a thorough review, we will submit a counter-notice to reinstate any link that has been removed by Google, in accordance with applicable legal provisions. Additionally, we will communicate with Google’s Legal Team to ensure appropriate measures are taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.

Every time someone calls them out, poof—it’s gone from Google. Kinda makes you wonder how much worse it is behind the scenes.

Instead of addressing complaints or bad press, they just make it disappear. Former employees call it ‘reputation scrubbing.’ I call it shady as hell.

Root Wellness is less about wellness and more about spin.

I've been using their products and personally haven't had issues. However, these allegations are concerning, and I hope the company addresses them transparently.

Yo, if Root Wellness is really tryna erase bad press with fake takedowns, that's super sketch. Makes me think twice about their whole vibe.
by: Grace Perez
On the flip side, it's possible that some negative reviews are unfounded or malicious. Companies do have the right to protect their reputation, but it should be done ethically.
