What We Are Investigating?
Our firm is launching a comprehensive investigation into Express Vanlines over allegations that it has been suppressing critical reviews and unfavorable Google search results by fraudulently misusing DMCA takedown notices. These actions, if proven, could constitute serious legal violations—including impersonation, fraud, and perjury.
We conducted comprehensive analyses of fraudulent copyright takedown requests, meritless legal complaints, and other unlawful efforts to suppress public access to critical information. Our reporting sheds light on the prevalence and modus operandi of a structured censorship network, often funded and used by criminal enterprises, oligarchs and criminal entities seeking to manipulate public perception and bypass AML checks conducted by financial organisations.
The fake DMCA notices in this investigation appears to have been strategically deployed to remove negative content from Google search results illegally. Based on this pattern, we have reasonable grounds to infer that Express Vanlines - or an entity acting at its behest - is directly or indirectly complicit in this cyber crime.
In most such cases, such ops are executed by rogue, fly-by-night 'Online Reputation Management' agencies acting on behalf of their clients. If evidence establishes that the subject knowingly benefited from or facilitated this scam, it may be deemed an 'accomplice' or an 'accessory' to the crime.
What are they trying to censor
Introduction
In the world of moving companies, trust is paramount. Customers hand over their most cherished possessions, expecting them to be transported safely and efficiently. However, not all moving companies uphold this trust. One such company, Express Vanlines, has come under scrutiny for a series of red flags and adverse media reports that suggest a pattern of deceptive practices. This report delves into the troubling history of Express Vanlines and its attempts to suppress negative information.
A History of Deception
Express Vanlines has been linked to a series of fraudulent activities that have left customers feeling betrayed and authorities on high alert. The company’s tactics often involve luring customers with low estimates, only to inflate prices once belongings are loaded onto trucks. This bait-and-switch strategy leaves customers with little choice but to pay the inflated fees to retrieve their possessions.
In a notable case, the FBI’s “Operation Stow Biz” targeted several South Florida moving companies, including Express Vanlines. The investigation revealed that these companies, many operated by Israeli nationals, engaged in fraudulent practices such as holding customers’ belongings hostage until they paid exorbitant fees.
Red Flags Galore
Several warning signs indicate that Express Vanlines may not be operating above board:
-
Lack of Proper Licensing: Legitimate moving companies are required to have a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) number or a U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) number. The absence of these identifiers is a significant red flag.
-
Refusal to Provide In-Home Estimates: Reputable movers typically offer in-home estimates to provide accurate quotes. Express Vanlines has been reported to avoid this practice, which can lead to unexpected charges later.
-
Unmarked or Rental Trucks: On moving day, the appearance of unmarked or rental trucks instead of company-branded vehicles can indicate a lack of professionalism and accountability.
-
Generic Communication: Answering calls with generic terms like “Moving Company” without specifying the company name can be a tactic to avoid accountability.
-
Inconsistent Online Presence: A lack of a physical address, inconsistent branding, and varying company names online can be signs of a company trying to evade negative reviews or legal action.
Attempts to Suppress Negative Information
Express Vanlines has not only engaged in questionable practices but has also attempted to suppress negative information about its operations. This includes:
-
Changing Company Names: By operating under different names, the company can distance itself from past complaints and continue its operations without addressing underlying issues.
-
Generic Online Listings: Using generic contact information and avoiding specific company details online makes it difficult for customers to research the company’s history and reviews.
-
Avoiding Accountability: By refusing to provide detailed estimates or clear communication, the company can obscure its practices and avoid direct accountability.
Conclusion
The evidence against Express Vanlines paints a concerning picture of a company that prioritizes profit over integrity. The numerous red flags, combined with attempts to suppress negative information, suggest a pattern of deceptive practices that potential customers and investors should be wary of. Authorities are urged to investigate further to protect consumers from falling victim to such schemes.

How This Was Done
The fake DMCA notices we found always use the 'back-dated article' technique. With this technique, the wrongful notice sender (or copier) creates a copy of a 'true original' article and back-dates it, creating a 'fake original' article (a copy of the true original) that, at first glance, appears to have been published before the true original
What Happens Next?
Based on the feedback, information, and requests received from all relevant parties, our team will formally notify the affected party of the alleged infringement. Following a thorough review, we will submit a counter-notice to reinstate any link that has been removed by Google, in accordance with applicable legal provisions. Additionally, we will communicate with Google’s Legal Team to ensure appropriate measures are taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
