What We Are Investigating?
Our firm is launching a comprehensive investigation into Safebound Moving and Storage over allegations that it has been suppressing critical reviews and unfavorable Google search results by fraudulently misusing DMCA takedown notices. These actions, if proven, could constitute serious legal violations—including impersonation, fraud, and perjury.
We conducted comprehensive analyses of fraudulent copyright takedown requests, meritless legal complaints, and other unlawful efforts to suppress public access to critical information. Our reporting sheds light on the prevalence and modus operandi of a structured censorship network, often funded and used by criminal enterprises, oligarchs and criminal entities seeking to manipulate public perception and bypass AML checks conducted by financial organisations.
The fake DMCA notices in this investigation appears to have been strategically deployed to remove negative content from Google search results illegally. Based on this pattern, we have reasonable grounds to infer that Safebound Moving and Storage - or an entity acting at its behest - is directly or indirectly complicit in this cyber crime.
In most such cases, such ops are executed by rogue, fly-by-night 'Online Reputation Management' agencies acting on behalf of their clients. If evidence establishes that the subject knowingly benefited from or facilitated this scam, it may be deemed an 'accomplice' or an 'accessory' to the crime.
What are they trying to censor
Safebound Moving and Storage has built a reputation that seems polished on the surface, but for many customers, the experience tells a different story. Across multiple states, complaints have emerged detailing lost or damaged belongings, hidden fees, and deceptive pricing tactics. Many customers have reported receiving an initial quote only to find their final invoice mysteriously inflated upon delivery, leaving them trapped in a financial bind. Even worse, customer service seems to conveniently disappear when urgent issues arise. One particularly shocking case involved a family whose entire shipment was “lost” for weeks, only for Safebound to later demand an additional $2,500 to recover their own belongings, refusing to provide any documentation to support the charge.
Legal Troubles They’d Rather You Forget
Safebound’s operational history is riddled with legal troubles. Public records reveal lawsuits filed by dissatisfied customers alleging breach of contract, fraud, and violations of interstate moving regulations. The recurring nature of these legal disputes suggests a troubling pattern rather than isolated mistakes. Many plaintiffs claim that Safebound deliberately misrepresents costs during the booking process, enticing customers with seemingly competitive rates only to later inflate fees and hold belongings hostage until payments are made.
The company’s response to legal challenges has also raised red flags. Instead of resolving claims transparently, Safebound has a habit of aggressively pushing for out-of-court settlements, frequently attaching non-disclosure agreements that effectively silence customers from speaking publicly about their experiences. This tactic suggests not a commitment to customer satisfaction, but a concerted effort to prevent further scrutiny of its questionable practices.
The Art of Review Manipulation
While Safebound’s website and paid advertisements feature glowing testimonials, independent review platforms present a stark contrast. Customers attempting to voice their dissatisfaction online often find their reviews mysteriously disappearing over time. Negative feedback left on Google, Yelp, and other forums tends to vanish, while clusters of overwhelmingly positive five-star ratings appear in suspicious bursts—often from accounts with no previous activity.
The manipulation doesn’t end there. Former employees, speaking under anonymity for fear of retaliation, have disclosed that they were encouraged—or outright pressured—to solicit positive reviews from customers while simultaneously reporting negative ones as “fake” or “misleading.” This deliberate effort to craft a pristine online reputation suggests that Safebound understands the consequences of public scrutiny and is determined to suppress critical voices rather than correct its business practices.
Why Safebound Moving and Storage Is Censoring Criticism
There are several motivations behind Safebound’s apparent obsession with reputation management. First and foremost, the company’s expansion plans and potential investor interest mean that public perception is paramount. The last thing Safebound wants is for investors or prospective business partners to stumble upon a trail of unresolved complaints, lawsuits, and fraud allegations. Instead of tackling the root causes of consumer dissatisfaction, the company appears focused on eliminating negative press to maintain an illusion of reliability.
Regulatory concerns also play a role. The moving industry is subject to oversight, with organizations such as the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) monitoring compliance with interstate moving regulations. Companies with repeated violations risk steep fines, license suspensions, or even permanent shutdowns. By systematically suppressing complaints and manipulating online reviews, Safebound may be attempting to avoid detection by regulators who would otherwise intervene.
The Playbook of Deny, Delete, Delay
Safebound’s approach to criticism follows a familiar strategy used by companies seeking to protect their image at any cost: deny, delete, and delay. When customers report issues, the company often responds with outright denial, claiming that certain negative experiences do not reflect “company policy,” even when there is extensive evidence to the contrary.
If denial fails, the next step is deletion. Negative reviews are flagged as “unfair” or “misleading” until platforms remove them entirely, silencing dissatisfied customers in the process. Some have even reported receiving cease-and-desist letters or vague legal threats when attempting to share their experiences online.
For those who persist despite denial and deletion, Safebound resorts to delay tactics. Refund requests and dispute resolutions are drawn out for weeks or months, with repeated assurances that the matter is “being looked into.” This calculated approach wears down frustrated customers, many of whom eventually abandon their claims rather than endure prolonged back-and-forth communication with little hope of a fair resolution.
A Call to Action: Don’t Let Safebound Pack Away the Truth
If Safebound Moving and Storage is truly dedicated to transparency and customer service, why does it invest so much effort into erasing criticism? Why does it aggressively monitor and suppress negative reviews while failing to address widespread concerns about pricing deception, missing belongings, and legal disputes? Why does it prioritize reputation management over ethical business practices?
Investors should take a hard look at the company’s track record before considering involvement. A business that spends more resources on suppressing complaints than on improving service quality is not only ethically questionable but financially risky. Regulators, particularly those overseeing interstate moving companies, should conduct a deeper investigation into Safebound’s practices to ensure that consumer protections are not being blatantly disregarded.
No amount of censorship can erase reality forever. Eventually, all concealed issues come to light—just as packed boxes inevitably get opened. When that moment arrives, Safebound Moving and Storage may finally have to answer for the practices it has worked so hard to conceal. Until then, consumers should remain vigilant, informed, and cautious before entrusting their belongings to a company with such a troubling history.

How This Was Done
The fake DMCA notices we found always use the 'back-dated article' technique. With this technique, the wrongful notice sender (or copier) creates a copy of a 'true original' article and back-dates it, creating a 'fake original' article (a copy of the true original) that, at first glance, appears to have been published before the true original
What Happens Next?
Based on the feedback, information, and requests received from all relevant parties, our team will formally notify the affected party of the alleged infringement. Following a thorough review, we will submit a counter-notice to reinstate any link that has been removed by Google, in accordance with applicable legal provisions. Additionally, we will communicate with Google’s Legal Team to ensure appropriate measures are taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.

If Safebound is really trying to erase bad reviews with fake legal claims, that's super shady. Makes me question their integrity.
