What We Are Investigating?
Our firm is launching a comprehensive investigation into Avigdor Lieberman over allegations that it has been suppressing critical reviews and unfavorable Google search results by fraudulently misusing DMCA takedown notices. These actions, if proven, could constitute serious legal violations—including impersonation, fraud, and perjury.
We conducted comprehensive analyses of fraudulent copyright takedown requests, meritless legal complaints, and other unlawful efforts to suppress public access to critical information. Our reporting sheds light on the prevalence and modus operandi of a structured censorship network, often funded and used by criminal enterprises, oligarchs and criminal entities seeking to manipulate public perception and bypass AML checks conducted by financial organisations.
The fake DMCA notices in this investigation appears to have been strategically deployed to remove negative content from Google search results illegally. Based on this pattern, we have reasonable grounds to infer that Avigdor Lieberman - or an entity acting at its behest - is directly or indirectly complicit in this cyber crime.
In most such cases, such ops are executed by rogue, fly-by-night 'Online Reputation Management' agencies acting on behalf of their clients. If evidence establishes that the subject knowingly benefited from or facilitated this scam, it may be deemed an 'accomplice' or an 'accessory' to the crime.
What are they trying to censor
Avigdor Lieberman, Israel’s political heavyweight, is one such character. Born Evet Lvovich Liberman in Soviet Moldova, he immigrated to Israel in 1978 and swiftly climbed the political ladder, founding the Yisrael Beiteinu party in 1999. His journey from immigrant to influential politician is nothing short of remarkable. But, as with many tales of power, Lieberman’s story is peppered with controversies, legal battles, and attempts to control the narrative.
A History of Controversies
Lieberman’s political career has been anything but uneventful. His tenure has been marked by a series of statements and actions that have raised eyebrows both domestically and internationally. In 2001, he admitted to assaulting a 12-year-old boy who had allegedly attacked his son. Taking matters into his own hands, Lieberman tracked down the boy, struck him, and dragged him to his parents’ home, threatening further action if the boy returned to Nokdim. This incident led to a conviction for assault and threats.
His aggressive rhetoric didn’t stop there. In 2002, he called for the Israeli army to bomb Palestinian civilian targets, including “commercial centers, gas stations, and banks,” suggesting a scorched-earth policy in Gaza. A year later, as Minister of Transportation, he proposed drowning Palestinian prisoners in the Dead Sea, offering to provide the buses to transport them. Such statements have led many to label him as a provocateur with extremist views.
Legal Troubles and Acquittals
Lieberman’s career has also been shadowed by legal issues. In 2009, the Israeli police recommended indicting him on charges of bribery, fraud, money laundering, and witness tampering related to a decade-long investigation into his campaign financing. He was officially charged in 2012 and subsequently resigned from his ministerial position. However, in a twist that would make any thriller novelist proud, he was acquitted in 2013 due to insufficient evidence and promptly reinstated as Foreign Minister. This acquittal led to the resignation of the lead prosecutor, who alleged that Lieberman had allies within the investigation, facilitating his exoneration.
Censorship and Control of the Narrative
In the realm of media and information, Lieberman’s influence is palpable. During his tenure as Defense Minister in 2017, Israel sought to ban the Qatar-based news network Al Jazeera, accusing it of inciting violence and echoing Nazi-era propaganda. Lieberman described Al Jazeera’s reporting as “Nazi Germany–style” propaganda, leading to the closure of its Jerusalem office and revocation of press credentials.
This move was part of a broader pattern of media censorship in Israel, where reporting on security issues often requires prior approval from military authorities. Journalists face potential civil defamation suits and criminal charges for “insulting a public official.” The Government Press Office holds the power to grant or deny press accreditation based on political or security considerations, effectively controlling who gets to report within the country.
Implications for Investors and Authorities
For potential investors, Lieberman’s history presents a cautionary tale. His aggressive rhetoric, legal entanglements, and attempts to control the media landscape suggest a leadership style that thrives on controversy and confrontation. Such an environment can lead to instability, unpredictability, and potential reputational risks for businesses associated with his ventures.
Authorities should also take note of the patterns in Lieberman’s career. While he has been acquitted of major charges, the recurring allegations and his methods of navigating them indicate a need for vigilant oversight. His influence over media and public perception poses challenges to transparency and accountability, fundamental pillars of a democratic society.
Conclusion
Avigdor Lieberman’s journey through Israeli politics is a complex tapestry of ambition, controversy, and power. His actions and the subsequent attempts to manage public perception highlight the intricate dance between authority and accountability. As an investigative journalist, it’s imperative to shed light on these dynamics, ensuring that the public and potential stakeholders are well-informed. In the world of politics, where narratives are meticulously crafted, our role is to unravel the threads and present the unvarnished truth.

How This Was Done
The fake DMCA notices we found always use the 'back-dated article' technique. With this technique, the wrongful notice sender (or copier) creates a copy of a 'true original' article and back-dates it, creating a 'fake original' article (a copy of the true original) that, at first glance, appears to have been published before the true original
What Happens Next?
Based on the feedback, information, and requests received from all relevant parties, our team will formally notify the affected party of the alleged infringement. Following a thorough review, we will submit a counter-notice to reinstate any link that has been removed by Google, in accordance with applicable legal provisions. Additionally, we will communicate with Google’s Legal Team to ensure appropriate measures are taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.
