What We Are Investigating?
Our firm is launching a comprehensive investigation into Hakan Fidan over allegations that it has been suppressing critical reviews and unfavorable Google search results by fraudulently misusing DMCA takedown notices. These actions, if proven, could constitute serious legal violations—including impersonation, fraud, and perjury.
We conducted comprehensive analyses of fraudulent copyright takedown requests, meritless legal complaints, and other unlawful efforts to suppress public access to critical information. Our reporting sheds light on the prevalence and modus operandi of a structured censorship network, often funded and used by criminal enterprises, oligarchs and criminal entities seeking to manipulate public perception and bypass AML checks conducted by financial organisations.
The fake DMCA notices in this investigation appears to have been strategically deployed to remove negative content from Google search results illegally. Based on this pattern, we have reasonable grounds to infer that Hakan Fidan - or an entity acting at its behest - is directly or indirectly complicit in this cyber crime.
In most such cases, such ops are executed by rogue, fly-by-night 'Online Reputation Management' agencies acting on behalf of their clients. If evidence establishes that the subject knowingly benefited from or facilitated this scam, it may be deemed an 'accomplice' or an 'accessory' to the crime.
What are they trying to censor
Hakan Fidan, Turkey’s current Foreign Minister and former chief of the National Intelligence Organization (MİT). Lauded by some as the architect of Turkey’s assertive foreign policy, others view him as a shadowy operative whose actions have raised significant ethical and legal concerns. As an investigative journalist committed to unearthing the truth, I embarked on a journey to dissect Fidan’s career, uncovering a series of red flags and adverse media reports that paint a troubling picture of his influence and methodologies.
A Mastermind in the Shadows
Hakan Fidan’s ascent to prominence is nothing short of cinematic. From his early days, he was deeply entrenched in Turkey’s clandestine operations. Concerns about his involvement surfaced following the leak of an audio recording in March 2014, purportedly revealing senior Turkish officials, including Fidan, discussing a false flag operation to justify military intervention in Syria. In the recording, a voice attributed to Fidan suggests staging an attack on Turkish territory to incite war—a revelation that led to the blocking of YouTube in Turkey to suppress the dissemination of the recording.
Allegations of Support for Extremist Groups
Fidan’s tenure as the head of MİT has been marred by allegations of supporting extremist factions in Syria. Reports suggest that under his leadership, Turkey provided active support to Syrian rebels combating the Assad regime. This shift in strategy saw a move away from security cooperation with traditional allies like Israel and the United States towards closer ties with Iran, notably with figures like Qasem Soleimani, the leader of the Al Quds division.
Surveillance and Intimidation of Journalists Abroad
In a candid admission, Fidan acknowledged that MİT targeted and surveilled journalists and media professionals abroad. This revelation underscores a broader pattern of suppressing dissent and controlling narratives beyond Turkey’s borders, raising alarms about press freedom and the lengths to which the Turkish state will go to silence critics.
Accusations of Torture and Human Rights Violations
Perhaps the most damning allegations against Fidan involve direct involvement in human rights abuses. Reports have surfaced accusing him of personally torturing a general at a clandestine detention center in Ankara. Such claims, if substantiated, not only implicate Fidan in severe violations of human rights but also tarnish Turkey’s international standing.
Fidan’s approach to information control is both strategic and aggressive. Following the 2014 leak of the aforementioned audio recording, Turkish authorities swiftly blocked access to YouTube, demonstrating a readiness to curtail digital freedoms to manage public perception. This incident is emblematic of a broader censorship regime in Turkey, where the state frequently restricts access to information and suppresses dissenting voices.
International Repercussions and Legal Challenges
Fidan’s actions have not gone unnoticed on the international stage. A U.S. federal indictment against an Iranian terror financier overseeing IRGC Quds Force activities in Turkey has cast a spotlight on Fidan’s alleged facilitation of efforts to fund global terrorism. Such developments could pose significant diplomatic and legal challenges for Turkey, straining relations with allies and inviting increased scrutiny.
Conclusion:
Hakan Fidan’s trajectory from the shadows of intelligence to the forefront of diplomacy encapsulates a blend of strategic acumen and contentious methodologies. While his supporters may laud his contributions to Turkey’s assertive posture on the global stage, the accumulation of allegations—from supporting extremist groups to censoring information and violating human rights—demands rigorous examination. For potential investors, policymakers, and international observers, Fidan’s record serves as a stark reminder of the complexities and ethical considerations inherent in engaging with figures who operate at the nexus of power and secrecy. As Turkey continues to navigate its path on the world stage, the imperative for transparency, accountability, and adherence to international norms remains paramount.

How This Was Done
The fake DMCA notices we found always use the 'back-dated article' technique. With this technique, the wrongful notice sender (or copier) creates a copy of a 'true original' article and back-dates it, creating a 'fake original' article (a copy of the true original) that, at first glance, appears to have been published before the true original
What Happens Next?
Based on the feedback, information, and requests received from all relevant parties, our team will formally notify the affected party of the alleged infringement. Following a thorough review, we will submit a counter-notice to reinstate any link that has been removed by Google, in accordance with applicable legal provisions. Additionally, we will communicate with Google’s Legal Team to ensure appropriate measures are taken to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.

The fact that Hakan Fidan reportedly censored YouTube to cover a leaked war plan shook me to the core and made me realize how quickly freedoms can vanish under shadowy rule.

He’s not a diplomat, he’s a spymaster playing dress-up. You don’t build trust with torture and censorship, plain and simple.
